Step 1 of 6
Quick navigation

What to do

Download and install BitVise from the official site, then launch the BitVise SSH Client (BvSsh).

Set up a new session:

  1. Enter the remote server's Host (IP or hostname) and Port (default 22).
  2. Choose your Username. If using password auth, leave key options blank.
  3. Under Authentication, select Password or provide a private key file.
  4. Click Log in to connect. Approve any host key prompts if they appear.

Tip: For key-based auth, convert OpenSSH keys to PuTTY format (if needed) using PuTTYgen, then load the .ppk in BitVise.
